Beware of Folks Feeding the Nightly News
I’m so frustrated with our national media…not just ABC, CBS, and NBC but also Fox News, the so-called Fair and Balanced Network.
There’s a Presidential Race going on right now, and we’re in the primary season and the media is TOTALLY distorting the picture for America.
Now, I’m a Republican but what’s happening to some of the candidates running for the Republican nomination should arouse some ill will in both parties. Because if the media will do it to one or two in one party, they’ll do it in another.
Last night there was a Republican Presidential Primary Debate in Florida. There were five people in attendance, but all you will hear about are Mitt Romney, John McCain & Rudy Guiliani. MIKE HUCKABEE and RON PAUL were also in attendance, but it’s like the mainstream media wants to just sweep them under the rug!
I can tell you, I’m not a Ron Paul supporter, BUT he deserves to be recognized as a candidate just as much as Mike Huckabee (my candidate of choice). Mike Huckabee WON the Iowa Caucus, came in THIRD in New Hampshire, came in THIRD in Michigan, came in a CLOSE SECOND in South Carolina with Rudy Guiliani NOWHERE in the top tier. Yet, Rudy gets ten times the coverage as Mike does. Why is that?
I’ll tell you why. Because both Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul are not a part of the “Republican Establishment”. There is an agenda behind the media…they want who they want and that’s all they’re going to report about. Sure, they don’t necessarily care who gets the vote…as long as it’s not Mike Huckabee or Ron Paul.
Well, that just hacks me off. We rely on the media to report the news to us, all of it…we RELY on them to tell us what’s going on in this country, and they are screwing it up!
There’s an election coming up this year for the next president and it’s a big deal election, whether you’re Republican or Democrat, the candidates who are running are all very different in their own way.
The American public needs to wake up and make decisions based on fact, not just on what the media portrays. Please, I implore you, educate yourself on the various candidates by researching their own websites and reviewing non-partisan, reputable sites for further information (depending on the issues that matter most to you). And make an EDUCATED choice…don’t just go by 30 second soundbytes in a commercial or by the network news or even talk radio, for that matter.
While we have Freedom of the Press in this country, the Press by no means is completely independent. SOMEbody is writing their paycheck and they are dictating the news to us as they wish it to be reported. We, the people need to rise up and be smarter than the folks feeding us our nightly news.
Below are the websites of each of the candidates for your reference. Check them out…and draw your own conclusions based on what each of the candidates have to say for themselves. If you are still unsure of who to vote for, I would be happy to tell you why I like Mike Huckabee. And if he’s in line with your position on the issues that matter most to you, then join me in supporting him. But first, check each candidate out for yourself.

Feel free to share your thoughts on this subject. Surely I can’t be the only one who feels this way.

I agree that the establishment (mainstream) media certainly has a huge bias against both Huckabee and Paul. This makes me like and trust them so much more. If the establishment, which I consider the enemy of traditional America, is raging to stop the voice of a candidate, then that candidate is my guy.
I do like a lot of the Libertarian ideas and feel that they are sound in the basis. I like Ron Paul as a person. He seems to be good man. What I do not like about Paul, is the delivery. He seems a bit of a whiner even when he is making good points. He needs to “cowboy up” if he wants me to consider him even slightly Presidential. Supporters follow the leader and the Paul supporters seems to be noisy and contentious even when compared to the left side of the fence. Why forget civil and productive discussion? Stop being blunt and loud and I might hear your points a little more clearly.
I do admire Mike Huckabee. He is clearly at the advantage in any level and unbiased debate (good luck finding one). His stand on issues clearly parallel many of my own. The establishment has gotten to the point where they will not even mention him. This is for fear of giving him the slightest credit or voice which will in turn fly in their face. Their answer to this is to not give Mike Huckabee any toe hold in the media channels. The more Mike talks, the better he does. Period. He is in the top three of any and all polls. Does he get 1/3 or even 1/10 the media coverage, even on Fox? No way. He gets nothing. I want to hear him all the more. I will never trust Fox again, including Hannity and Limbaugh as they are mere puppets. Fox is owned by Clear Channel. Find out what parent companies are involved with what candidate has recently had controlling interest. There is not a hint of conflict, I am sure. The whole thing is laughable.
I tire of hearing the latest sound byte regurgitated by some small-minded big mouth that was barely educated by last night’s mainstream media broadcast. Anyone who bases their education and information on what the boob tube tells them deserves what their wasted vote brings them. Real Americans, please wake up and see the facts of what is happening in our nation. If we don’t wake up we will wake up in the North American Free Trade Union. If that day comes, our America will just be a hiccup in history.
What do we need to do? Support traditional American ideals in ourselves and in our leadership.
Protect America:
Build a fence and put all non-citizens over it, build a strong military and bring them home, end police actions worldwide, destroy all enemies that hate and attack us first, support Israel
Take back our money:
End the IRS with Fair Tax, equalize trade, bring back the Gold Standard and put the control of the American dollar back in the hands of American Citizens and their elected officials, privatize as much of the government as possible, phase out all socialist government programs, bring back jobs
Protect the Family:
Sanctify all forms of human life from stem cells up. Sanctify the spiritual bond of traditional marriage and the resulting family structure. Encourage patriotism, excellence in education, moral values of the founding fathers, personal responsibility and hard work.
This is not comprehensive and more to follow.

The talk is that it is a two man race now, Romney and McCain. I think it is because the media has trouble following more than a couple of candidates. The polls show at least a three man race, really a four man race. Four different candidates lead in Super Tuesday states. It is no doubt that is Gov. Huckabee won SC he would be cruising through FL. He didn’t quite pull it off and lost momentum. He is still leading or tied in several states. This means we need to get the word out so our people don’t listen to the media and sit home.
A lot of people still don’t seem to understand that this is about 50 states. The race is wide open. Forget the torpedoes; full speed ahead.
I think that God did not want it to be too easy. Remember Gideon? God said, we would think we won the battle and not give him credit. Our candidate is so smooth, eloquent, or folksy. We worked so hard. Give us a set back and we have to pray. I call for a half hour of prayer for the Governor Tuesday and fasting a meal on Super Tuesday. What do you think Carrie?

Yes, we definitely need to pray. I pray for Mike at every meal and that God would move on the hearts of Americans to ACT during this primary season every time I lay my head down at night.
I’m working very hard these days to get the word out, and it’s very exciting to be a part of this.
