• He keeps it clean and doesn’t stoop to the level of his opponents. He focuses his attention on getting the word out on his position regarding various issues. Others try to derail him by constantly bringing up his Christian faith, as if that’s a bad thing. Many try to trap him into going down the route of slinging mud at his opponents yet he refuses to do so, and I appreciate that.
• He’s a regular guy in that he’s able to relate to the average person and I believe he understands me.
• He’s articulate and speaks succinctly. He stays on point and interjects humor where appropriate. He’s enjoyable to listen to.
• He works well under pressure and slow to wrath.
• He’s genuine and sincere. I believe that he believes what he says.
• He’s optimistic and patriotic. He reminds me a lot of Ronald Reagan. I like a leader who is inspiring, and I believe Mike to be such a man.
• He’s pro-life and unashamed of it.
• He’s pro-family and favors the traditional view that a marriage is between a man and a woman.
• He’s pro-God and unashamed of it. I believe he prays for wisdom and guidance, and I believe he prays for me. Why wouldn’t I want a man after God’s own heart leading this nation?
• He’s in favor of the FairTax as opposed to the IRS, and I’m all over that.
• He’s in favor of securing our borders and cracking down on illegal immigration.
• He supports our troops, and is not willing to bail on those who have fought valiantly (& gave their lives) for our country.
• He’s in favor of the second amendment: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” and I am all over that. My husband and I are true patriots…we will fight for what’s rightfully ours…our forefathers did.
• He stands by Israel, and I believe that it is crucial that we remain her most loyal ally.
• He’s in favor of our country being able to feed & fuel herself…not relying on foreign sources for oil and agriculture.
• He favors parents having the choice to home school or pick which public/private school to send their children to. And he favors the need for arts within the school curriculum…to foster creativity in our youth.
• He favors expanding access to health savings accounts and making it easier to switch jobs without losing your health insurance. He also favors a consumer-based health care system as opposed to socialized medicine.
