SUBJECT: Build a Personal Community

In an attempt to reacquaint myself and build my personal community, I took the following steps:

  1. I compiled a list of everyone I knew -- from my earliest childhood days to today.
  2. I obtained current contact information for as many of them as I could find. (My primary aim is to acquire physical/mailing addresses. Phone numbers & email addresses are secondary.)
  3. I developed a system to regularly connect with all those I could. (Frequency of contact varies by location, closeness levels in relationship & like-mindedness in endeavors.)

As with my immediate neighborhood, in becoming more familiar with those whom I know -- both locally and at a distance -- in their current state of being, I'm seeking to find those who no longer want to continue operating within the System.

While I care about all whom I know, I have chosen to invest more of my time & energy into fostering these particular relationships while maintaining loose contact with the rest.

These are the people who are journeying through the wilderness to a better way of life on the land. And it is out of these people, I believe, that a new (& hopefully better) society will develop.

Find, Know & Support Your Wilderness Community

In an attempt to find & become better acquainted with others who are also coming out of the System, I seek others with my same concerns -- go where they might go. I attend classes or social events that they may attend and inquire within my current social circles.

Then, I either converse by phone, email, or meet in person with folks who identify themselves as such, expressing care and engaging in private voluntary peer-to-peer exchanges to help meet one another's needs.

We've hosted small gatherings at our home periodically to help everyone connect with one another and build a small network. I encourage all, who can, to host small localized private gatherings to build their local relationships.

Personally, I have to discipline myself to not let those who choose to remain in the System (& their likely natural consequences for doing so) distract me from what my family & I are seeking to do in our personal journey through the wilderness.

We have a mission to live free on the Land, and we recognize we are not alone in that endeavor, thankfully. Finding & supporting that wilderness community is a large part of our mission.

We can Be Freed from our Enemy by leaving the System behind us, pursuing LIFE on the land, and choosing to LOVE God & our fellow man all along the way.

Peace, Joy & Prosperity is ours for the taking!

Live Well & Live Long!
